Jo Peel Wall Art Animation

Watch the animation below; Street Art on a Wall in Shoreditch, London.  Jo Peel creates a great little story, spending some three weeks to complete the work.  As mentioned in the attached article/link where I found it, Blu did something similar, but this work by Peel definitely has its own life and feel.  Enjoy...I did

Saw this today, Matt Groening admits finally after over 20 years that the Simpsons Springfield is based on Springfield Oregon.  I don't watch the show that much anymore, but still an interesting bit of info, read whole article for more details

Kadavre Exquis, Illustrator and Animator

François Grumelin-Sohn, or Kadavre Exquis as he goes by in the arts world, is a French animator and illustrator living and working in the Netherlands.  Really rich landscapes and backgrounds coupled with surreal stories.  He just released Childhood of a Circle, a short animation, but also check out a music video he animated for Vassili, and go to his site for more cool stuff.

Wednesday Morning Animated Music GOODNESS

So I came upon Amanda Palmer last year, because she released a CD of Radiohead covers performed on her "magic" ukulele, and it was...pretty magical:).  And so I was stoked to find this new video she produced for another artist, Evelyn Evelyn.  Great morning music.  Cool effect with the window drawing.  And then while searching thru other videos on Amanda Palmers Vimeo page, I came upon an animated video for the radiohead song "No Surprises"...And then I went back to Booooooom, where I found the 1st video and J Hamada (who runs Booooooom) had posted another great music animated video.  Pirates Life by We Cut Corners.  Hand drawn with markers, frame by frame...awesome...and its about PIRATES!...so all in all in was a good morning...Enjoy all 3...good music and good animation....goood times

Truly masterful visual representation of Jazz music.

Created by Michel Gagne in 2010, Sensology visualizes a duo between, Pianist Paul Plimley and Bassist Barry Guy, 2 great jazz musicians. Gagne is well known throughout animation circles for his involvement in tons of great movies over the years including one of my favorites, The Iron Giant.

Watch and enjoy, and check out the links below for more info on the short film and Gagne
